=== LOT Call-of-Proposal: 2022A Semester === This is call-of-proposal for Lulin One-meter Telescope (LOT) for Semester 2022A (from 01 January to 30 April, 2022). The proposal is divided into two categories: Education -- use the latex template given in LOT_Proposal_Education.zip for this category. Research -- use the latex template given in LOT_Proposal_Research.zip for this category. Deadline: *** 01 December 2021 (before midnight local Taiwan time) *** Please sent your proposal(s), the latex file and an additional one-page of Figures and/or Tables, to me by email: ycpan_@_gm.astro.ncu.edu.tw IMPORTANT MESSAGE: (A) Following nights are not available (But if you targets can be observed near full moon, we may still allocate these dates depending on the schedule) 17-18 Jan -- Engineering/Full Moon 31 Jan-2 Feb -- Chinese New Year Break 17-18 Feb -- Engineering/Full Moon 18-19 Mar -- Engineering/Full Moon 17-18 Apr -- Engineering/Full Moon (B) Starting 2019A Semester, about 8-12 (continuous) nights per months of LOT time will be given to a Large Program. (C) Starting 2021A Semester for the nights that LCI is equipped, about sum of up to 1 hour might be shared/used by a special/filler program. If you don't want to share nights, please mark "NO" in Section 13 (the default is "YES"). Note: the up to 1 hour might not need to be continuous, for example it could be 0.5 hour after sunset and 0.5 hour at 2am, and etc, and may be a total of 1 hour or less (D) The default LCI (Lulin Compact Imager) is Sophia 2048B CCD. (E) LISA spectrograph (LCS) is now available, proposals using this instrument are required to have observer(s) going to Lulin Observatory (proposals without specifying observers will be REJECTED). (F) We strongly encourage observers (especially students) to be presented at the Lulin Observatory, instead of queue observing. (G) For proposal(s) re-submitted from past semesters, please address TAC comments. Proposal(s) that do not show improvement will be rejected. Note that late submission will NOT be accepted. For information regarding LOT and/or available instruments, please check Lulin's website (www.lulin.ncu.edu.tw) or consult with Lulin staff (lulinstaff_@_astro.ncu.edu.tw) ToO policy: * maximum 2 hr ToO interruption per night; please negotiate/inform the original PI in advance * please sent the ToO request to Lulin observing staff (Chi-Sheng, Hsiang-Yao and Wei-Jie) * the original PI/observer remained the right to accept/decline ToO The accepted proposals and schedule for 2022A Semester will be announced at Lulin's website (www.lulin.ncu.edu.tw) in mid-December 2021.
